Hey guys Im having trouble with stacked walls and my roof.

I cant seem to set the wall core and it is not using either one of the two walls selected.

My roof needs to be extended to wall core so the truss pitches of the stud wall.

To control wall layers in section details, you need to use View - graphics section - cut profile. This is view only change and does not change it in 3D. If you want to change it in 3D you can create in place family made of a void and make it cut the wall out as you need.

To be frank I have never cut out walls in 3D only as it would be detail overkill. Using cut profile will be fine.

If you want a model solution, you need to modify that wall's definition to unlock one of the layers to either pull it down or up.  But to adjust that in the model, you will have to unstack the wall.
