Hello there, sorry to bother with this, but it's been bugging me and I can't find an explanation to it.
Problem:
I've been trying to place a urinal in a regular-room bounding-non sstructural-gypsum finish-block wall, but every time I try it the error 'Can't make type "Urinal : Urinal-Wall-3D".' appears. If I place the same component in another type of wall (metal stud+gypsum interior wall), it allows me to do so without any errors. Anyone knows why this happens or has any suggestions to solve it?
What I've already tried (and failed):
-Changing the wall from non-structural to structural.
-Changing the wall's function from exterior to interior.
-Changing the location line from "core centerline" to "interior finish".
-Closing and reopening the program.
-Moving the window on the wall to avoid any possible collision.
Thanks in advance!

The problem may be in how the family was built.
Is this a wall based family instead of face based? If so, then the wall thickness in the family may be causing your problem. Is the wall you want to host to is very thick or very thin? Change the wall thickness in the family accordingly, reload and see how it works.

Thanks fot the quick reply WWHub. That idea sounds great, I just tried it but it still didn't solve my issue. Any other suggestion?

Let us use the family in the context you are using it. Create a new project that has the wall and component and with everything else purged out. You will have to purge all probably 3 times to clear out everything. Then post that.

Thanks WWHub! I think I found the issue... I started a new project as you said and copy-pasted the wall and urinal. Still it was failing to be placed in the wall, until I changed one of the layers of the wall which had a thickness of 15.5875mm. changed this value to 15.9mm and voila!
Still I can't figure out why it is not letting me palce it in the wall regardless of the units. I changed the family's units to 0.00001 dcimal places, but it was useless. I also tried changing the wall's thickness to the exact value of my wall, and an error appeared. Something like a "can't keep elements joined" thing concerning a void in the family.
Anyways, I'd still like an answer to that just out of curiosity, but for now I'll settle with achieving to place the family.
Thanks a lot!
