So I am relativly new to Revit but right off the bat I am having problems. Underlay will not work for me no matter what. I am starting with the default template two floors are available. I create a wall on level 1 up to level 2 so 10' tall I then double click on Level 2 under Floorplans but the level 1 walls do not show up as an underlay. Under Properties Underlay Level 1 is selected. Further confusing things I tried building a 20' unconnected wall on level 1 to get something/anything to show on level 2 and even thouh on the elevation view the wall extends up to roof 20' high the wall does not show up on level 2 my setting for view range are the default.
ToP:Level above(Roof) Offset 7'6"
Cut plane (greyed out) Offrset 4'0"
Bottom Associated Level (Level 2) Offset 0'0"
View Deoth
Level Associated Level (Level 2) Offset 0'0"
What am I missing and why won't anything from the first floor show on the second underlay or walls that extend into the second floor?
Thanks

We can only guess with the information you gave us.
- Is your view cropped? Uncrop the view and type ZA. It may be that your second floor view is not above the first floor.
- Are you using phases? Make sure each view has the same phase settings for now.
- Hopefully, you are not playing with design options yet.
- Is underlay really on in the second floor plan and set to the first floor?
