I have a door family I created to just be an opening with trim.  It looks great when its a new door in a new wall but once I do an existing door in an existing wall I get a really dark line one one side.  It looks like the opening lines from the family are coming through but I don't know how to shut them off.  Anyone ever have this problem?

teafoe,  I looked at this last night and it is strange.  Did you have this same family in 2014?

No I made it in 2015.  I can't remember if I modified an existing family or not.

In your family (plan view), dashed symbolic lines are different. One is hidden (cut) and the other is hidden (projection). Make them both the same. Opening object has nothing to do with it – it’s always invisible.

Sometimes the most obvious things are causing the most trouble.

You're welcome,

Cheers!
