Hi,
I need to make a ceiling with hightly detailed ( same like how we make it on site).
But in revit the ceiling will be shown like some lines in RCP.
I need it properly,Means in a sectional view it should show the entire detailing(distance between ceiling tiles and channels running through the tiles,Ceiling hangers.
I have tried with ceiling based metric profile.I made a void extrusion and add to my project. Then i array it according to my ceiling tiles. It cuts the revit default ceiling and i got the cut profile in section also. But after some time the revit started to crash(some unexpected error occcured). So i guess it was not the proper method to do it.
So,can anyone help me on this?, Is their any method i can make a detailed ceiling?
or is thier any plugin to make such a detailed ceiling?
Thanks in advance
Gibi

You really don't want to do what you ask because over modeling will kill your project performance. Ceiling hangers, tees etc should all be added as detail elements where you need them. They can be placed and easily arrayed.

thanks. the purpose of doing detailed ceiling & false flooring is for MEP guys who work on clash detection. if the hooks or hangers are shown in the model then clashes wont be generated.

I don't know anyone that does clash detection with ceiling wire hangers. I sure don't want to design to that limitation. The wire locations are best determined in the field.
