Good morning
When I downloaded a family in the past it would load within the same session of Revit as my open project file. This made for easy insertion into the project. Now when I download it opens an entirely new, or another session. I have to save it as something else, then re open it in the project session to insert. Also, the loading of a new session is a time waster
Does anyone have a way of having downloaded families from your site open within the same session like I had before? Is it an internet explorer thing?
Thank you in advance! :-)

Downloads have never loaded directly into your revit project.
Are you using Mozilla? Mozilla's latest update has screwed this process up. IE Still works the same.

Using IE, my process is the same as it has always been. When I download, it opens the file in the same Revit session and then you have to load into project. Same as always.....
If yours wants to open a new session, the there is something wrong in your system settings. Look at your "open with" settings.
Not sure if this could be your issue.... How do you start Revit? Never start by double clicking on a file because that will always start the last Revit used - not necessarily the correct Revit for the file.
