Yes, I've serached before posting Smile

Please see attached.  For some reason my posts aren't filling in the area circled, but are fine everywhere else.

I have them set to 4" apart and to spread to fit.

Also, is it possible to have the 45 deg. corner "clean up"

All help is appreciated!

Thanks!

Square posts and rails will never join correctly at non 90 degree corners.  How can they when 2" Horizontal rail is larger than 2" on the diagonal then the 2" post?

You need to let the rails turn the corner  without a corner post or your post has to be larger than the rails.

any idea as to why the post aren't filling in the area I have circled?

and how would I have the rail turn the corner without the posts?

No image with circle.

If you don't want corner posts, then turn them off in your railing definition.  See first image... Of course, then you may have to better define where your posts will be maybe like the second image.

Or ... maybe you should consider a bigger post - maybe even a round one?

Remember, you can use multiple railings to help control this.

Can you upload your railing, so we can troubleshoot?

Delete all the balusters but one. That’s all you need, if all of them are the same.

ahh, so easy!  thank you,

another question.  is it possible to offset the posts so that they are 1" or so from the corner of the top rail, but still in line?

I tried the different offset options for corner post but that didn;t seem to work.

Probably it is not possible to create this detail with a single rail, but you can use a combination of multiple separate rails to achieve more complicated design. WW mentioned this in post #4. Enclosed is a quick example.

You can also try to play with the component railings with the handrails, supports, etc., where you can tab into the different rail parts, unpin them and manipulate as you wish ( to the certain degree of course).
