Hey,
I'm trying to make my first custom beam family and need some help.
I have got as far as i have with the attached file, but can't get any further.
I would like to add an option to cut the ends of the plank/beam to an angle, my specific project requires 45 degress.
also to refine it more i would have liked to shorten the top face width ways but the template family won't allow me to unlock the ends from the reference line (width)
Any help would be great.

I don't think the family is the bast place to do this. Not even sure if you can. We use the built-in process described here:
