I'm at a loss for why this window family won't load into my project without deleting the type.  I've tryed doing a save as, importing under a different name, and then inserting into the model and it still deletes the type.  I've checked all my dimensions, flexed the family various ways, and no luck.  Any suggestions are appreciated.

Revit 2015.

Your window family works fine with 4-7/8” thick wall only. There are some issues with ref. planes and constraints. In your family, select a wall and make it thicker. You will get an error message. Click on ‘expand’ to see error details (see pic1.). Use ID numbers to display/find and fix elements that causing problems (pic2).

The family, imho, is too complex – a recipe for errors and difficult to troubleshoot. Items like trim and sash could be nested, separate families - much easier to handle.

The wall thickness has been a problem for hosted window and door families from the begining and it really should not be.   It is illogical.  It would probably be best if you always flex these families by changing the wall thickness.
