Hi all,
I've created custom Detail Line Components for Fence and Egress Lines. I followed this video to create the lines, and for the most part it works. I run into a couple of issues though:
1) The symbol for the Egress line '>' looks aligned when the line is drawn vertically and horizontally, but it's a bit low when drawn diagonally.
2) When printing, the symbol on lines in all directions is significantly lower in relation to the line, and is very much different than what appears in plan and sheet views.
In the attached image, you can see the first condition on the right, and the second condition can be seen when comparing the two sides. What is making it difficult to figure out why it is doing this is that the Fence line, done the exact same way with 'x' used as the symbol does not have this problem. There is a slight variation as seen in condition 1 for the Egress line and condition 2 is non existant. It prints just as it looks on screen.
Thanks for any feedback!

The problem with that family is, …dudes are not wearing bow ties, other than that, nice family J, ...lol.
Seriously though…, does it have to be a label? Can’t you just draw an arrow head and use that? With a label, ticking ‘rotate with component’ will keep the text aligned horiz. and vert., but it falls apart when angled. It looks like however, it works better with some fonts other than arial (see attached).

Awesome, thanks pijpiwo! I'll try it out in the mornin, I never thought about wearing a bowtie...
But really, thanks!
EDIT: Yep, works great! I'm sure you saw I had fudged with the placement of the arrow just to get it to look somewhat decent at all angles, which is not really an acceptable solution. Thank you for your help!
