so I placed a basic architectural column. its the basic out of the box library part. can someone tell me why its showing a hollow? or whatever that graphic is? first time ive ever seen it do this. been using revit since 2009. this is 2013 version.

You didn't show us what that family is. Could it be a steel tube with the wall thickness showing?

I guess it was, hollow I mean. just that ive been running this project for almost a year now and there has never been a time when it was made steel. gotta check with my intern drafter I guess.
