We do a lot of Medical Office Buildings and this has happened more than once here. We will have a nurse station that is pretty much indentical to one that we did on another job, it would be nice if there were a way to copy not only the model geometry (cabinets/counters etc..) but also be able to copy in the completed (dimensioned & annotated) millwork elevation. We really cant find a way to do this easily....what we do now is copy/paste the modeled elements, then create an elevation, then copy/paste the annotation if possible, then we need to re-dimension it. Has anyone run into this similar situation, and if so do you happen to have a better work flow?
Thank You,
Alan

In the original model, you can group the model elements along with all of the 2D elements that you want to copy. (NOTE : Any dimensions to walls, floors, levels and grids that will not be copied will not work.) Now - export the group or just copy/paste into your new model. I then suggest you ungroup it and delete the group from your new model.
