Has anyone figured out a way to "move" a curtain wall door from one curtain wall to another and have it retain all of its scheduling data?
I've put several curtain wall doors in my model and they all have data parameters for scheduling (door number, frame type, door type, finish, hardware number, fire rating, etc.).
Whenever I have to "move" a curtain wall door from one curtain wall to another, I typically resort to changing that door back into a regular panel and then changing the panel where I want the door to be located into the door. When I do this, I lose all of the scheduling data for that door and have to manually input the data back in. Most of the time I have to do a screen capture of the Properties menu for that door so that I don't accidently put in the wrong information.
With a regular door family hosted to a wall, if I want to relocate that door onto another wall, I can simply click the "Pick New Host" button and it'll retain all of the scheduling data for that door.
I understand that curtain wall doors work differently, but I was wondering if Revit has a way to quickly move curtain wall doors or if anyone found a work-around. The way I'm doing it now is a mild inconvenience, but if there's a faster way to do it, that'll make my like that much easier.
Thanks!

Did you try the match properties?

Ironically, the Match Properties tool does not match the parameter data in the Properties menu. All it does is let me change a regular panel into a door panel, but I still have to manually input all the data.

For what it's worth, one trick I found out is to replace the curtain wall panel with a basic wall and then host a regular door family to that wall. That way, if you have to move the door, just pick the panel where you want the door to be, change it into a basic wall, and then use the "Pick New Host" tool to move the door there.
It's not perfect, but it's something :-/

Sorry the match properties did not work - stupid of me because the type is panel type.
Here is the better process.
Give your new door the same number as the old door.
Create a door schedule with properties and filter only for that door number.
Fill in the blank data by using the pulldown in each field. The only item in the pulldown will be from the old door.
