Using Revit 2014.

For two days I have been having two issues.

1. When I attempt to mirror projects, I get the error message: "Analytical model edge cannot have a length of zero". To get yesterday's project drawing to mirror, I deleted all the foundation walls & slabs, & kept trying until it worked.

2. On floor plan views, I cannot select anything with my mouse. (It started with not being able to drag stuff, now I can't select things in plan view.. )

I didn't change anything in setting up my projects (these are plans I've used before with no issues). I have not changed my options in Revit, nor any mouse settings.

I'm ready to throw the tower across the room...... Any suggestions? I'll go eat some more chocolate while I hope someone has a suggestion!

Thanks,

Susan.

Start by installing all updates - 2 I believe.

Close the project and re-open with an audit.

Tell us more:

  • worksets
  • phases
  • links
  • are you using 'mirror project' tool or just the mirror command?
  • Are you in structure?

Thanks.....

here's an update: I seem to have better luck mirroring when I remove all structural beams.... Never had to do that before.

- no special worksets used

-no phases (these are small projects, just me using the program..... (lonely world, here!))

-no links

-I'm using the mirror project tool, under Position in the Project Location tab

-I'm not in Structure, but I believe it has to do with structural beams. Though, this is a new issue.

-all updates are installed.

-I've rebooted my computer.... never opened with an audit before...... hmmmmm.

(Chocolate worked... I'm calmer ;-) )
