i have created a water tank family, have gave it a material and colour, after inserting it into my project, i have found the colour was not what i wanted and would like to change it.
i went back to family editor and have changed colour i require, in family editor it looks great, what i want
however when i put in back into my project, it will not change, it stays same colour as previous, even though i have overwritten the family, renamed it, it still wont change.
i have even deleted the family from the project and started again, but the old colour is still appearing, what i have done wrong?

The project material settings rule over the material settings in a family. Manipulate the material you wish to change in the project file, not the family file.
