Hi everyone.

I just finished drawing a ton of floorheating. Is there no way of marking a lot of lines, and then get the combined length?

I tried Googling it, but all the other sugestions seems a little wierd to be honest. There must be simpler ways.

Thanks in advance.

Kind regards,

Sebastian

Just noticed the sticky about posting in Tips and Tricks. If anyone can move it to Technical that'd be appreciated. Thanks.

There are some ways to accomplish that (line based family or railing to name a few). This is just one of them: http://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/revit-products/learn-explore/caas/CloudHelp/cloudhelp/2015/ENU/Revit-Customize/files/GUID-DEADF731-AD3F-47F8-B2C8-B31341CA0C5F-htm.html (Two-Pick Family to Calculate Fire Exiting Distance).

Google for ‘fire exit path’ or ‘exit travel distance’, the solution will also apply to your issue.

use the tape measure tool and make sure the "chain" check box is checked and you can measure multiple lines along a path.
