Hello All

Im working in Revit Architecture 2015

I’ve got a problem with door tagging

Basically what we need is a Door tag that will show either Full circle, half circle or empty circle depending on Door Fire Rating.

So like Full circle is 120min, Half Circle 60min, and empty circle is 30min

Also because it’s a multi office project we can’t really use shared parameters to do so. I was trying to resolve it by using circles with different visibility settings and connect it to Fire Rating parameter of tagged Door but don’t really know howL

 I would really welcome suggestions.

You will have to have multiple family types and you will have to assign the type - not Revit.  (You pick the correct tag type needed for the rating - noting automatic)

RE: Shared parameters.  There is no reason why you can use shared parameters.  You just have to make sure that all of you use the same sahred parameter to create something you share.   In other words, you can't create a shared P called "Exit"  and expect a shared parameter called "Exit" created by another office to be the same.   They would need access (or copy) of the same shared parameter "Exit" was first created with.   KNOW THIS: The same shared parameter can be in multiple / different files.   If you have a family or project that contains a shared parameter, you can export it to your own file if you need to create it elsewhere.   AND You can use as many shared parameter files as you want.  Nothing has to be permanently linked to a project.
