Hello,

I'm trying to make a generic annotation symbol for the balusters of a railing. I've added the symbol to the baluster and successfully turned off the actual baluster objects in plan view, but the symbol isn't showing in the railings of my project. Do you have any idea what's wrong? The symbol is set to "visible" in the baluster family. I've read something about that the label parameter of the symbol has to be set to something, but I only have "none" as an option.

I don't see how this will work but I've never tried.   If the item is not shown, then anything associated wih it will not shown.

I've managed to do a similar thing with lightning fixtures. Using Visibility/Graphics overrides properties for each part of the family, I've turned off visibility in Plan/RCP. The annotation symbol inserted in the plan view is the only thing visible when the family is inserted in the project. I thought the same way of dealing with it would be possible with the balusters of a railning, but so far no luck.
