Hey all,
First time posting so apologies in advance for any breaches of etiquette. I am trying to model roof in the vein of Shigeru Ban's Pompidou:

I am hoping to create a form similar to the image attached, and then use the parametric capabilities to model structural geometry similar to Ban's building. The trouble is that I am not able to create the initial surface to then divide.
I have a swept blend mass created from two spline that forms the main roof form but I want that shape to come down and form 6 "vortex"-like columnar areas for support. I have modelled it in Rhino and spent way too long trying to export/import but attached is an image of what I am looking to accomplish.
Any workflow tips within the Revit Conceptual Mass environment or is there a way to make this more easily in Rhino or Max and import?
Thanks for your help!
Trey
