Hi everyone,
I have a toilet component classified with type mark X. But also inside this toilet component i have as a component the flushometer also classified with type mark Y. Now in the project when i say tag all it tags the toilet but it doesn't show me the tag for the flushometer, and doing manually tag i can't catch it either.
Any suggestion?
Funny thing is that for some toilets it does show me both tags (toilet & flushometer) i can't see a difference in between them that would be reason.
Thanks,

In order to tag a nested family, it has to be set to shared.
From your HELP: "A family that contains nested and shared families works as any other family within a project. However, you can press Tab to toggle to the nested and shared components."

Was the family shared when it was placed in the host family? If not then it will not tag.
Check out this and see if his process helps you:

Post the host family .... let us look at this.
BTW - Are you sure the nested family is the correct category for the tag you are trying to use?

Did you ever try to just place the shared family in your project and tag that with the same tag. In your schedule, do these type marks show up for these two items in the same column. There are a lot of families that are poorly built. Each of these families may have a parameter called 'type mark' but that doesn't mean they are the same shared parameter. Shared parameters are a lot more that just their name.

Your problem is how this 2-1/2D family was built. There is NO flushometer family visible in your plan. That family is turned off in plan view and symbolic linework was created in the host family. That just won't work.
You have to set the visibility in the flushometer family and not in the host.
