Hello,
I am using Revit 2014. I have been working on a project at my firm for two to three months. The fire rating for our interior stud walls is applied through the cut pattern. I created a filter to apply to certain views to hide the fire rating, or to override it with another pattern. The filter looks for the type mark that begins with a W or an S, which is how our walls are named. I saw today that the filter has stopped working, even though the type mark for the wall still begins with a S or a W in the type mark. I've even gone into the wall and put a few things like "1 HR" into the fire rating, and then set up the filter to look for "1 HR" and it still won't find the walls. There are other people working on this project, so is it possible they changed something somewhere to make the filter not work?
Thank you!

We would have to see the filter setup and properties of the view and wall. Use the snipping tool to capture images of those.
But before that, make sure the other settings are correct. Is the cut pattern a coarse wall setting or a material setting which must be a medium or fine view? Are there any individual over-rides applied to the wall in question? Are these views using view templates and are they still applied? Make sure the wall is what you think it is.

Thanks for the reply.
The wall pattern only appears in the medium and fine setting. There isn't an individual override applied to the wall and the filter is still applied to the view. I have attached a snapshot of the wall properties, the filter properties, and the filter properties applied to the view template. The filter is called Stud Rating - Off (2) and has the pattern hidden. If you look at the enlarged plan to the left of the override window, you can see the stud wall still showing the fire rating pattern, even though the filter is applied.

You're absolutely right. I guess I misunderstood how the filter worked and thought it could look for two separate walls that began with either an S or a W. Thanks for the simple solution.

I have wished for a possibility of 'OR' here. We need to put that on the official wish list.
Your solution - two seperate filters.
