Working on a shared residential model, one user periodically has their designated 3d view lose all materials and show all model elements in grey. I would describe this as similar to the view settings of an imported sketchup model into Revit. He can click on another user's 3d view and those display the graphics correctly however his view remains all grey. After deleting his view and clicking the 'default 3d view' button, a new user view is generated and displays correctly. Could this be due to a performance issue on the user's laptop? It is approximately 10 years old and barely meets the minimum system requirements for Revit 2015 on Win7. There are no V/G overrides applied to his view...

Over the last few releases, we have seen 3D default views that sometimes become corrupted.  So we simply delete the view and let Revit create a new one.

We had this in a model supplied by the engineers. It took me 20 minutes of checking all the visibility settings, phases, worksets, linked model categories, object styles - it turned out that the dicipline for some of the views (in the properties panel) was set to 'mechanical' and because they had not model any mechanical items the whole model was greyed out until we changed it back to 'architectural'
