I have a Revit drawing template with title block and borders that I can use for that particular client. When I open a new blank project with that template and try to edit the client name and address text in the title block I can only get the entire title block as a selection.
What is really frustrating is that I successfully edited one of the included templates to make this client's template. Now I cannot seem to remember the correct way of opening it in an editable form so I can make it into a template for a different client. The first time I just stumbled into the correct method and neglected to write it down.

Okay, first you need to do a couple of checks... I take it you have created a special titleblock which you were using for a particular client and this titleblock was included into the the Revit template file you use when starting new projects (.rte file)? Try reloading the titleblock family you want to use into the new project and make a new sheet using that titleblock. Go to the sheet and select the titleblock. The editable parameters for the client name/project etc should become blue... If nothing becomes blue it is because the info was setup as text in the titleblock family and not as labels. If this is the case you will need to open the titleblock family and using labels and then selecting the various parameters you wish to control resetup the titleblock. Once finished save and reload into the project.
I hope I've understood your problem correctly, if not let me know...
Regards,
Chris.

Chris,
Thanks for the help, but I didn't provide enough information in my post. The text I want to change is the builder's (the builder is my client) information. To make this builder's title block template I used the Imperial Residential template that came with Revit. I replaced the Autodesk logo in the upper right block of the title block and inserted my builder client's name and address.
I now want to take that same template and replace the first builders info with the new one.
When I open the template in a new project the editable (blue) text is editable as it should be. But the builder's info at the top, that replaces the Autodesk logo in the residential template, is uneditable. It is this that I would like to delete from the title block.
Thanks
Daryl

Chris (Mr. Spot),
I finally figured out (or remembered) that I could open title block family I had created and would be able to edit all the text. Than I was able to follow your directions, as well as a set I had from my first title block creation, and substituted my new client template family into a new Revit template.
Thank you
Daryl
