Is there any way to set Revit so that it automatically synchronizes in given time intervals? We're having serious issues with employees synchronizing as often as required and I believe we need this process to be automated.

There is the option to increase the frequency of saving and synchronize reminders (Options-General-Notifications). You can't make Revit auto-save or auto-synchronize. Just have everyone change the interval and then whenever it pops up they have to synchronize.

The problem is that people just close the reminders instead of actually follow up on them......

I think Auto-Sync will create more problems than help.

Sounds like the staff you work with needs to be trained better to follow instructions. It doesn't get much easier than an automatic reminder to save and sync, instead of hitting cancel or exit just hit save and sync

Have a look on our plugin that auto relinquishes, saves, synchronizes all open projects when revit is idle. It also auto-exits Revit.
