Hi, I have been trying to get a tree I am using in one of my projects to stop from renderring grey. I have been playing around with the material properties but nothing seems to stop it from renderring grey.

Not enough info to help you.  Is the tree a revit family or did you get if from somewhere else?

The tree is a revit family. I have tried several other trees, downloaded from revitcity.com and have read through a few of the forums which mention similar issues but am still having no luck.

I would like the tree to render realistically, but the best i can manage to do is get a texture on the outline that can be seen in picture 1.

You don't say what Revit and that is important for our answers.

Use a RPC family.... Directly from your HELP:

I am using revit 2014.

I just tried using the RPC_tree and it has given me a realistic render (thanks WWHub) just what I was after.

Still not sure why the other trees I downloaded from revit city weren't working, despite the photo and description stating that they rendered realistically.

If anyone knows a little more about how to get trees to do this I would love to know. In case I want to create my own families.

Cheers
