Currently i am working on a project where the wall prolies were edited to have a over hang 4' above the gound when i put a strip footing on it it places the footing on top of the opening i attached a dwg to show what im talking about

does anybody know how to fix this?

what about making two separate walls , with do not join selected, and create a control joint above side of opening.

its an obvious cracking point for the brickwork anyway.

if that doesnt work you made need to edit, duplicate and rename the wall (same materials, thickness etc) so that when you apply the footing it doesnt get applied where u dont want it.

Wall footings will attach to the bottom of the wall.  I have seen this before where a door is at the bottom of the wall.  In that instance, the door was moved up a tiny amount so that there was wall below the door.

 

In your case, why not split the wall vertically on either side of where there should be no footing and don't place a footing here?
