Please, tell me what is the better way to list Material Description of elements.

I've been triying to make a Multicategory Schedule, but I´m not sure how to creeate a shared parameter for material description.

I need to show the following fields:

Material Take off Code(is a shared parameter)

Category

Material Description (I need to create a shared parameter too)

Type

Comments

Template (yes or no parameter)

In order to schedule anything, the element must be present in the model. 

A material take off might be more useful because most of these parameters already exist>  But agin - the material must be used in the model.

You can add shared parameters to materials from within the project environment.  Project Parameters.

There are elements present in the model. 

I have a seven story building with structural columns and beams with Materials and a Material Description, so I want to know how to create the shared parameter, I mean wich values, groups, categories I must select to list the material description becouse I will use these values ​​to indicate the specifications of the construction process and differentiate the elements.
