Hi
I was wondering if anyone can help, if i have a 10 storey building, or any sotey building for that matter and say i forget one wall or column on the bottom level, then i go and add it, my walls or column, that is over dissapears and shows the wall i just added, i have to copy the wall or column that was previously there move it a distance, then delete old wall then move new wall back. this is ok if you have one or two levels, but u have to do it all the way up the building, you also have re-label it and tag it. very long process. Is there a way around this?
I have added some screen shots of what happpens.
First one i have drawn the level 2 wall over
second is where the problem is, if i forget something on level 1 and go back and model it, you can see the walls and new columns under level 2, take precedence, and it looks like the wall over stops and starts.
and the third, shows it correctly, with either doing level 1 before level 2, or copying the wall on level 2, deleting the wall on level 2 then moving it back. this is a very long way to do it.
thanks in advanced. hope im being clear enough.

Not enough information.
- Are you using underlays?
- What version Revit - what updates?
- Are you using structural or architectural elements?
- Maybe some property shots of the items affected.
- You say: "... then i go and add it..." <<Are you adding the new walls while working on the correct level for hosting them?
- You say: "...my walls or column, that is over dissapears and shows the wall i just added..." << If you are on the lower level, why would you see the higher elements?
I'm pretty sure this is a process error.

Hi
Thanks for your reply
Ive worked out what the problem is, my visual style was set to wireframe and not hidden lines. So frustrating it took all weekend haha. Funny how something so simple can be missed.
