I have read countless posts regarding importing the built in RPC content (trees and people) into 3ds max, and i thought i had got it sorted.

I downloaded the Archvision plugins and was able to view the trees in my revit model in max, however the scale was massive, the trees were about 20 times the size they should be. By inspecting each object and clicking reset position in the linked geometry modifyier list, it seemed to rescale all the content to its intended size.

However since i did this, max crashes when pre-processing the scene to render.

When the trees were huge, the scene still rendered. now even if i open a new max file and link the rvt file, leaving the trees at the larger scale, it will still continue to crash.

it makes no difference linking an fbx/rvt file or using the suite worksflow.

Now i cant render that scene in max at all, it just crashes... suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

if you are on subscription start a ticket with autodesk and upload your model to them. they can help diagnose the problem, altho it may take a couple days.
