The architect is using phasing. The new duct, whether in hidden or shaded graphic, it shows the ceiling and anything below it. Is there a way to have the ductwork show solid white or black without any lines showing thru? See below. asmed77@gmail.com

Is this an RCP or a floor plan?What are your view settings (give us an image)
Turn off the ceiling if you don't want it to show.
