Using Revit 2014.

I'm trying to update an existing family (specifically, a countertop) to include some new features. Mainly, a side waterwall (where the countertop material turns 90 degrees and touches the floor).

The current family already has some formulas going on to control a front lip. The 2 pieces (countertop and front lip) are seperate extrusions, controlled by yes/no's. Which I know how to do. HOWEVER, where I'm geting stumped...once you load that family into a project, the lip and countertop appear to be joined...but they aren't (otherwise you can't use the yes/no params). I'd LOVE to recreate this for my waterfall y/n but I can't seem to get a grasp on it.

Does ANYONE have experience with this? I'm not a "math person" and formulas give me chills. I'm really trying to figure out how a formula can control this apparent joining but I'm at a loss.

I'm attaching the existing family on the off chance someone can help (I know there are a few other problems - just trying to get this one working first!). Thanks in advance.

They tricked you.  There are two countertops in the same place.  One is joined with the lip and one not joined.

Have fun.

*Well I feel embarassed* I knew it had to be something stupid-simple. Not sure WHY I didn't think of that. Thanks for the quick reply.
