Im trying to place a duplex and quad receptacles on my model, for some reason when i place it the symbol doesnt show. insted i get the family extrusion showing. i went to edit family and the symbol is hosted in the family and its set to vsible.
Any ideas?

Hard to answer without seeing your family. Is this an OOTB family? Does the symbol show if you set your detail level to course or medium instead of fine (im assuming your using fine)

The symbol is annotative. Do you really have that category on in VG?
