Good day everyone,
I have a family editor question (I am relatively new to family editing and am using Revit 2014):
If you have a component in an array, is it possible to resize the component using parameters? Intuitively it appears to me like there should be no problem trying to do this, yet Revit keeps giving me constraints-not-satisfied-errors.
Included is a very simple example of what i mean: A box that has a width and heigth dimension and is part of an array. Trying to adjust the dimensions of the box leads to errors.

So the trick was to use a nested family as an array object. I guess I should have tried that. Thank you very much.
As a result of this I was able to create my first parametric line based family. It's a detail family for a section view of a membrane, one of the things I miss most since switching from Vectorworks to Revit. It's not perfect, but still, proud of the work.
Many regards and thanks again
