Using Revit 2014 and all updates. Is there any way to reset the section view depth other than highlighting it and grabbing my arrows when inserting a section? I just want to insert a small section that does not have a view depth that is defaulted to all the way across the building.

hi.

if your problem is: when you create a section, the depth is defaulted to the end of your project or something.

then you need to zoom out and search for that grip just to adjust it?

if yes heres what i do:

after creating the section, just select it and browse your property pallete and change the FAR CLIP OFFSET to lets say 100mm.

Thanks for the reply, and yes that was exactly what I was referring to. But is there a way to set that far clip offset default prior to inserting the section? A lot of times I just need to make a quick small section of the area I am working in to make sure there is nothing overlapping or running into each other. It would just be nice not to reset or have to grab the grip each time
