I am using Revit 2014. For some reason the walls in our template revit file are not joining properly. There are no windows and they are the exact same wall type with the exact same material. Is there some wall join button that was accidently turned on? Also, using the wall join command only changes where the dark line appears - it doesn't get rid of it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Something else is going on here that we can't see without seeing the elements.  Your comment ".... using the wall join command only changes where the dark line appears - it doesn't get rid of it..."  indicates that the hatched material is not the same in both walls.  You need to look again.  If you don't believe me, right click on one of the walls, pick create similar and sketch the wall horizontal then vertical in the same operation.

These are not stacked walls and they both have the same base and height and are not wall sketched or joined to other elements.
