I've read several posts on material / finish schedules but I'm still a bit at a loss. We create our finish schedules not based on rooms or by assembly (i.e. floor, wall) but by type of finish. I've attached an example. For example, "Wood" is a heading and WD-1, WD-2, etc. are listed below with their associated information. Thanks for your help!

You probably can't do this as a smart schedule - just a dumb one like you did in CAD. Try creating a schedule key using a category that you don't normally use.
