hi all new to the site, new to cad, new to revit perhaps i should have called myself newbie, greenhorn, rookie, fresh fish or something along those lines anyway, is there any workaround or 3rd party utility that will get Revit to dual dimension? I have a need to print construction docs with imperial and metric represented. thanks

Of course just duplicate one of your dimension styles then in the settings for that dimension type change its units by unchecking use project settings and selecting the appropriate format. HTH.

okay...so does that mean pulling one dimension in each style at the same location and perhaps overlapping the lines so that only the numbers show twice ..one in metric and the other in imperial? if so, i guess i'm looking for a way to pull the dimension once, and have both imperial and metric display

I'd create the new dimension style for the different unit with an offset for the text so when placed in the same place as the metric dimension the text sits about the other value. Then I'd select all instances of the one dimension type, paste aligned same place, then change its type to the alternate unit style.
