Is anyone else incredibly frustrated by the fact that Autodesk hasn't managed to facilitate this yet? I find it remarkable that in this day and age of robotic total stations and smart as-builts that the time has not been put in to make this process easier. I used to be able to do this using Revit Extensions (to number elements) and Excitech (to read and record the coordinates) back when we used 2013 and 2014. Unfortunately I just had my team switch to 2015 and these add-ins are no longer available.
I've looked into some other products like Autodesk Point Layout (formerly Get The Point but Autodesk bought that to corner the market even further) that cost an insane amount of money for each "seat" for a relatively minor trick.
Does anyone have any tips on how to get these coordinates out of Revit in a way that can be imported into a robotic total station? Even better would be a way to get points back into Revit when an as-built is performed.
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks,
Kris

There are add on packages that allow you to schedule coordinates of some items.

I'm trying the TotalStation Point Utility at the moment but I'm not sure how it will work. That seems to be the only one capable of performing this task though. Do you know of any others?

Well that was a bust. The TotalStation Point Utilities app does export points but you are required to place each of the points that you want to export. I know that foundations and columns have points associated with them that I want to tap into. Any help at all is appreciated.
Thanks,
Kris

Hi,
I work at a construction company in the Netherlands and I work every day with a Robotic Total Station. And for these import export Jobs to Revit 2015, I use the MC-Next software from MOUS Software.
I use this program already from 2006 and you can download a free trial version from their website www.moussoftware.com. They have two programs, MC Start and MC Next and are both very easy to use.
Hope this helps.
Greetings,
Tom Klein Hesselink
