Sorry, I'm desperated...
I was using WORKSHARING (with "Sinchronize" mode on, you know?). I was finishing my final project of college, for graduation... I'm desperated, don't know what to do!!!
I work alone, on my personal pc station... I made WORKSHARING available because I needed to share levels... anyway, I was not working with REVIT LINKS, so it was not necessary anymore, I could have disabled it... Anyway... My revit had a FATAL ERROR, and I could save a recovery file.... I opened it, and it was everything there, no problem at all!!! So I selected "Synchronize with central" to "save" everything to the original file... BUT I selected "Relinquish", instead of "Keep ownership"... So since I'm the only one working with this file, I think I have lost everything!!!!! I opened both files again (the original and the recovery) and the model is not there anymore!!!! Just the annotations!!! I'm CRAZY, PLEASE I NEED HELP!!! 
I'm not encourage to try to solve it because I'm afraid of doing it wrong and things get worse!!!

Your question has some confusing statements:
".... I made WORKSHARING available because I needed to share levels...." << Doesn't make sense. Your are alone so who do you need to share levels with?
"....anyway, I was not working with REVIT LINKS, so it was not necessary anymore...." Links have nothing to do with work sharing.
If you saved to central, then you still have work sharing. When you enable work sharing, Revit creates a central model.
Could it be that you turned off your workset? Go to VG and make sure all your worksets are on.
