Hey guys,
Just wondering if you have any tips on using a cad file in revit.
I import the feature survey in I get from the land surveyors and it is a bit of a pain to alter it, I have to change and reimport in. Is there a better way?
Thanks for your help.

Do you need the DWG drawings in revit or do you need to edit it?
I would edit the DWG on Autocad. If the DWG is needed in a revit model i would link it, rather than importing it. Remember that when you import a DWG you get plenty of new linetypes, that may or may not be useful to you...

It's a feature survey showing the sounding houses. Doesn't look or print very well either.
If I link it and change the autocad file, will it update it in revit or do you need to re-link it in?
The autocad file is needed in the revit file unfortunatly...

Link it. You can control what layers show and what lineweights the layers are. When the DWG is changed, it will show up.

Once I link in a file. Then change it on autocad how can I reload it into revit. Can I refreash it like an Xref?

Sure, click "Manage", then "Manage Links", click "CAD Formats", select the drawing file, then click "Reload". just like X-ref.
