I am wanting to build a family for a table support that has the column showing in 3d. The tricky part is that I want to have this support show through the table top in plan, but without it showing on the table top in 3d views. Any ideas on how to approach this?
The resaon for this is that I don't want to have to place all of these supports and then come back in later and draft them in plan to see them. There will be many of these in the project and they end up moving around alot during the design process.

For most furniture, we use what we call 2 1/2D families. The 3D elements only show in 3D views. For plan and elevations, we have only 2D elements.
