hi all. working with Revit and Navisworks 2014. had anyone had good luck using the switchback feature for exporting and revising the model? if so, please share your process. i have tried, but have issues with it. if i'm viewing the model in navisworks, i highlight a component and then press the switchback. when it opens up in Revit, it opens with the same camera angle, which usually puts me in the next room, or upstairs and i can't see the item. and Revit opens like 5 windows for some reason. i would like to figure out how to use it productively. i can see the benefit of looking at a problem spot in Navisworks, and going right to that spot in the Revit model to fix it, but i can't seem to make it work.

I have never had full success with the switchback process. It's problematic and somewhat unpredictable. Especially with central files. It's a half baked tool. In other words it's not quite ready for production and needs to bake in the oven a little longer.

. . . . not ready for production use. The clash detection itself however works awesome. Just stay away from switchback until further notice.

I am using Navisworks manage 2016 and Simulate 2016 and both switchbacks work well in a detached or Central File model. Hope this has changed for you both
