This has been happening recently. An example: When I try to use a crossing window to select a group of text in a floor plan, my cursor by default is highlighting the floor, so when I try to drag what I think will be a crossing window, it is actually grabbing my floor and moving it. Not sure is there is a system variable that needs to be toggled or what, please help!

Lower right hand corner of your screen. The icon is an arrow - turn off drag selected elements.

Thanks for the speedy response. Actually I had "select by face" checked, but you pointed me in the right direction. Much appreciated!
