I'm using Revit 2014. I created a design option and placed the elements needed on the design option. I also created a view to be placed on a sheet. I went to Visibility Graphics and set it to the correct design option I created. The problem is I would like the primary design to appear lighter or halftone and the alternate design option to appear dark or how normal drawing linework would look. Currently, both options are appearing at the same dark line weight.

You can't have two options of the same set in the same view so what you say is primary must be in a different option set so I don't understand what you are saying here.
You can't filter by option but you can filter by workset. So if your so called "primary" is in one set and the DO is in another, you could filter and apply a halftone to one or the other.

WWHub,
I'm sorry I was calling the Main model a primary option. All I have in my view is the main model and one design option. That design option consists of 3 perimeter walls built on the end of a building to add a small addition. There isn't 2 design options or can there be 2 showing in one view. With the design option in visibility graphics set to my alternate shouldn't that make the main model elements in my view appear as a halftone and the alternate elements to appear in the normal dark linetype color?? Both elements currently appear dark.

I think I know what you're trying to do. In my attached image the garage is on a seperate Design Option. To highlight the garage we make that Design Option "Active" and do our printing while it's still active. I would be interested to hear if there's another way to do it,,, only way I'm aware of. Hope this helps. Dano3d  Revit v2013).
