I always had this doubt in my mind... Do we have to draw stairs in Revit overlapping the structural colums and walls, or not??? And are the shafts a continuous wall from bottom to top of the building, or it has a small piece of floor in each pavement?

PS: I'm talking regarding an architecture project, so I'm not thinking about drawing beams

it should be drawn as its built.

pour a floor build a wall, pour a floor build a wall, etc.

from your sketch it appears the larger opening is a lift shaft , the smaller opening a plumbing or other shaft, with a smaller footprint. so you would have a piece of slab beween.

the shaft tool conveniently cuts holes in floors etc in alignment, saving time for the drafter.

stairs wouldnt over lap walls unless the treads were integral (ie cantilever).
