Turn off color fill under rooms and areas?
We don't know what this view really is so we can only guess.
What are those skylight like objects?
Do you have CAD in here?

Turned off the "visible" in the color schemes submenu, but no go. its a plan view of course, received the model from a consultant, dont know what they did to get the color to show all the time. lots of generic models in this one.

That information is important.... It is a linked model then that shows trough your model, not your stuff?
You need to control their model seperately through VG and do some testing. Turn off all of their annotations then 1/2 of their model categories at a time. If that turns it off then you can narrow your search accordingly. Also then, if needed, turn off their imported items

Its a single project model. there is no linked files. This is our inhouse project. drawn by a consultant, before we had Revit. now we do, Were trying to make it work with our graphic standards.
There are a lot of inplace generic models, but the skylights that are green, are just skylights. in VG turning off windows catagory turns off the skylights like it should.
here I dumbed down a model to show.

Look at the skylight family..... It could have a CAD import, in which case you control the color in the model through VG/imported categories and there could be a color filled region in the family.
