Hi all,

I am currently setting up a template in which I would like to schedule the material mark of the frame finish, door finish ect.

However, I can't find a way to do this. Is it possible or should I just settle with the material?

The closest I have come is to do something with hidden fields in the schedule, but I can't wrap my head around this would be achived.

I have attached a screen grab of my finishes schedule and door schedule.

Thanks,

Rasmus

I don't have an answer, but basically have the same question, so I'll bump this and add a bit more as it relates to what I would like to do:

Is there a way to use the "Mark" field listed under "Revit Annotation Information" on the Identity Tab of the Material Browser?  See the attached image.

If this is not possible, the alternates I see are: 1) Adding a text based shared parameter to my door families that has no relationship to the material assigned or 2) Naming the materials according to the abbreviation I want to see in my schedule ... I do not like either of these options.

Materials are tagable using a Material Tag.

See attached.

Materials can also be scheduled and the Material Mark is available there - see attached.

Splitting the door material MARK from the frame material MARK could be more problematic but their is a Material mark available under the door schedule.

I know this is an old Thread but I'm still(in Revit 1Shadey having an issue with this.  I do not see the Material Mark parameter available in the door schedule.

My situation is the same as described in the original post  In my door schedule i'm listing the door material - However I'm only able to show the name of the material.  I have a lot of different woods in this project so I need to be more specific than listing "wd".  I also don't like listing the whole material name "White Oak W/ Stain Finish" in my schedule either as that takes up a lot of room.  I've built all the materials I need and have them in a finish schedule with all the parameters needed, I want to just show the Type Mark of each material in the door schedule.

You do understand that to schedule a value, that parameter must be a shared parameter and shared parameters can be added to many categories at the project(project template) level including materials.

I'm trying to find a way to get the material mark parameter, which is a built-in revit parameter, to show in my door schedule instead of the material name.
