Hi to all!
I am triing to make this kind of roof but no succces, base roof is made with no defined slopes but with escalated points and defined split lines ... and the rafter extension doesn't see 2 faces of this roof... I can;t choose this faces to define the workplane for making a beam system the edges a parallel dor this faces
May be this is not the wright way to make it...
revit 2014 file.
Thanks!

Why are you using points instead of slopes? This is a simple roof and can be done by defining slopes.

yes but I need the top to be on a specific height ,slopes will be like 32.38 deg and all various, if i will copy this slopes value to second o roof with slope defined by edges but what if I need to move the top so I will need to redifine the value on all edges.

Is this an existing roof? Why are the slopes at such an arbitrary angle?

yes , existing ant not only, some of faces need to have at the top 1 common point the distences from projections of this point to edges are not the same so angles must be differents... that's ok.

viktorik88,
I'm not sure that this applies to your problem ... teafoe is addressing that. But I wondered if you knew that you can enter almost any numeric field by using an equation rather then possibly a rounded number? For instance, to enter a roof slope on a roof edge when you know the eave elevation, the peak and the distance horizontally, you can enter =(peak elevation - eave elevation)/distance. (obviously you substitute the numbers)
