Sorry if someone else has posted a similar solution before. Revit does not allow use of the Count paramater in schedule formulas so I made my own. Here's how:
1. In Schedule Properties, create a calculated value
2. In the Calculated Value box, enter these values:
Name: Count or whatever you want
Type: Integer
Formula: 1
3. Click OK
4. In Schedule Properties, open the formatting tab.
5. Under field formatting, check the calculate totals checkbox.
I was able to use this custom "Count" parameter in material take-offs as well. Hope you find this helpful.

Please do the same for "Level" parameter. I would like to do a material takeoff of block walls per level but I do not know how to create parameter for level. Thanks!

Are you walls seperated by level? If so, you have some options but in many cases wall span more then one level and there are obviously no options there.
