Hi all, just installed revit and im egar to learn how to use it properly. im having a bit of trouble setting up templates etc. Most of the tuortial videos iv watched seem to have templates and a families installed out of the box. is this the case for 2014? when i go to start a new projec and load a template it just says <none> and i cnat find the directory they should be saved in. I have read somewhere that revit hasn't included templates since 2011 is this the case? if so where do i find a template i can install.
another issue is the families it doesn look any stock one have installed either? i dont know if this is an issue with my installation or if this is just how it's meant to be.
also if i want to download families from your downloads section do i have to add them to the zip cart one by one or is there away to downloand a package in bulk?
Thanks.

This sounds like an installation problem.
You will want to download families from here 1 by 1. If I download a family I always like to open it first and make sure that it does everything that I want it too and that I'm not just downloading junk.

I would bet you have the families and templates installed but you failed to set the pointers to their location in Revit. Use windows exployer to find their location, then in Revit, goto the Revit R pulldown. You set the file locations under oprtions.

The missing Templates problem can be fixed if you just Reinstall the program (2014).
Steps:
1. Star-up button --> Control Panel
2. Click Programs and Features --> Aurodesk Revit 2014
3. Click "Uninstall/Change" or double-click on the "Aurodesk Revit 2014" text
4. A Window will pop-up --> click on the "Repair or Reinstall" button
5. Check the "Repair" bullet --> Click Next.
6. Once finished --> Startup Revit 2014
7. Click "New" from the menu (top left icon)--> Click Project
8. Now you should have Templates --> Choose your template, I usually choose Architectural
GOOD LUCK! , Hope it helped
